B.J. help us find our condo in River North. We wanted to move from Hyde Park further north with our initial focus primarily on the South Loop. B.J. helped steer us to quality properties and was willing to invest the time and effort needed to ensure we bought a home meeting all of our needs. B.J.'s appraisal background allows him to provide more insight on properties and the asking price - while this was frustrating given seller's high price expectations, the value added by him helped us avoid overpaying for our home. He encouraged us to walk from a property we made an offer on when the buyer's asking price exceeded market levels. This was difficult but now clearly the correct guidance. Even though our search covered multiple neighborhoods in and near the Loop, BJ showed deep knowledge of market conditions and housing stock which helped narrow our search. BJ demonstrated patience, professionalism and responsiveness throughout the multiple months of our search. His guidance during the offer and contract signing made the process much easier and we have no hesitation in recommending him to both buyers and sellers!

BJ helped me both sell my house and find my condo. In selling my house, he did a great job of marketing my house and helping me go through the negotiation process with the buyers. In buying my condo BJ put together a number of listings for me to look at and helped me narrow my choices and negotiate a successful deal. He also handled the closings for both deals and made sure everything went smoothly.

We were so lucky to happen upon BJ as our agent! Looking back, it's amazing that we were paired up with him without a referral as he was the perfect fit for our needs and went above and beyond before, during, and after we purchased a home. He is genuine, hard-working, and friendly. We quickly established rapport and felt as though we could trust him with important questions and decisions. We had a complicated purchase of a foreclosure property and as first-time home buyers we had a slew of questions. He never tired of our calls or emails and was extremely knowledgeable. BJ was also great at finding quality resources for us when we needed help with financing, roofers, inspectors, etc. He continued to do so long after our purchase and even connected us with an outstanding buyer for our home when we considered selling. As a young 20 something buying her first house in Chicago BJ could not have made the experience more delightful. I never felt sold, I'm in sales I know what this is like, I honestly felt that BJ would never have pushed me to buy something that wasn't perfect. He was available for any showings and was able to make the experience fun and exciting as we trudged through the gross winter weather! BJ actually put in my offer on Super Bowl Sunday and did not let up through 6 negotiations until he knew I was purchasing at a fair price. Seriously, I owe a huge thank you to BJ!
