This place was a great find! Generous portions, friendly staff, great atmosphere. We were happy to find it on our first morning in Chicago, and came back every morning of our stay. Wheelchair accessibility: Though the main entrance is not accessible the staff has been very accommodating in finding an alternate entrance for my Husband.

Don't come here expecting to be impressed by the meal. Yes, the scones are good and quite large (a single one easily shared between 2-3 people), however, nothing else we had was particularly remarkable. It is very much the typical unseasoned American breakfast fare, which is readily apparent upon walking in and seeing the predominant customer demographic. Black and brown folks - look elsewhere.

I only had a latte coffee and a key lime pie, and both were outstanding. Best key lime pie I've ever had, in fact (it's made in-house). Jennifer, the proprietress, is spritzing with personality and is a perfectly gracious hostess. The atmosphere is a mixture of quaint and stylish. Absolutely lovely.

Definitely recommending Amari, shes very patient, friendly, and takes the time to make your hair look perfect again.
