Shuri Dojo

I joined the Shuri Dojo looking to deepen my understanding of karate. It is rare, in our modern era, to meet someone who is a true master of the martial arts. Adams interpretation and execution of karate clearly demonstrates a high level of skill and knowledge achieved through a life-long dedication to his art. Detailed and thorough instruction and analysis of martial technique and application, as well as cultural and historical background, are very impressive, and the experience is priceless. Adam is indeed the "real deal". True master of the art of karate.

The Shuri Karate Dojo is the place to go if you want the REAL traditional karate. The depth of knowledge that Adam has is truly amazing and he is an example of what a Martial Artist should be. In this world of becoming an expert simply by watching Youtube, Adam stands head and shoulders above others. I cannot recommend this dojo enough. But, be prepared for a challenge. Adams unique ability to draw others, and myself, so thoroughly into the subject is in no part due to his involvement in, and love of traditional Karate.

The instructors are highly skilled, extremely knowledgeable, and are open and engaging. I have never known them to have anything other than the best interests of the individual student as their primary concern. This is not a school where you go a couple of years and walk away with a black belt. This school is dedicated to the in-depth study of the martial arts. I visited from the UK and spent a week training with Adam, you will be hard pressed to find a better teacher anywhere. Highly recommended.

Very experienced and knowledgeable instructors. Traditional Okinawan karate at its best. This is the real deal. Highly recommend this dojo.
