Terrible place to rent from. save yourself and run! Edit: I have reached out to local by Laramar many times and fail to compensate me for any issues. Please save your money and go somewhere else.

I've lived here for about a year now, and I've loved it almost the whole time. You can't beat the location, and for a basic apartment, this building is very good. However, I do mean basic. There is no dishwasher or microwave in the kitchen, and no central A/C in the building except for the 14th floor lounge. I lived on the third floor, so I often took the stairs, but for the sake of information, both the elevators (freight included) are very small and unfortunately not up to code. Move-in took a long time because of this, but it was of course a short-lived issue. While maintenance is very prompt and polite, rarely have they fixed my problems the first time. I suppose that's to be expected in a 90-year-old building, but it is frustrating when you've had to call three times and the radiator still isn't fixed. While it's certainly not the worst place I've lived, given the rising rent prices I would say you're certainly not getting what you're paying for. If I had to put a number to it, I'd say I've enjoyed about 80% of my time here, which is honestly far more than I expected. Were it cheaper, I would certainly recommend. Otherwise, you're probably better off finding somewhere a little bit further away.
