Farcroft By The Lake

This was my home and I lived here for 8 years and I liked it alot. Amazing views. DEFINITELY haunted!

Helped my daughter move into her apartment and this is a beautiful place inside and out. Outside of her apartment windows, she has a view of Lake Michigan out of every window, including the bathroom and the bathroom is large lots of storage. Nice kitchen and living area. Worth the rent which is very fair considering the location and the upkeep of the building and the remolded apartments.

I absolutely love living at Farcroft. I moved in a little while ago and have had amazing experiences. The process of applying was so smooth, even though this was my first time ever applying and to my own apartment! I toured and the leasing agent I worked with within Tawani was amazing and she helped me so much! She even gave me an application that day and told me about a unit as soon as it became available. Moving day was super straightforward and easy! Living here has been amazing, the building is quiet, my neighbors are so nice, and the amenities of the building are also great! I love my unit too, the finishes are so beautiful. This is such a fantastic find in one of the best neighborhoods in Chicago, I love Rogers Park! I also like that they took the time to restore such a historic building! The views from it are seriously gorgeous. I can see Evanston and the lake, and love waking up to the sunrise here!

I lived here a year ago and It's hard to dislike the apartment itself. Easy to dislike the management and the way the facilities are maintained. Took weeks to get things fixed and nothing in the common areas was maintained. 2 grills quit working the second year and weren't fixed by the third, they promised a doorman to counteract the packages constantly being stolen but that never happened, they didn't clean the trash room frequently enough so the hall nearby smelled, the gym equipment typically had a thick layer of dust, and if someone spilled something in the lobby it would dry and sit there for a few days or weeks. The maintenance company had a few residents in the building that worked for them and they allowed them to park in loading areas and behind the building but threatened to tow anyone that parked in a spot longer than 10 minutes. There was an air conditioning vent in the shower right next to a drafty window in my 01 unit. All of the windows were drafty and my electrical bill in winter was commonly $150 for 2 people. Glad I moved but sad that the beautiful building is not maintained properly by the management. I hope they have changed or do change the management soon.
