Woodman's Food Market

PROS: great gas prices - pay at pump open 24hrs, clean store, mostly nice employees, amazing variety of organic and alternative foods, wide aisles and carts have a fold down flap that fits nicely almost into my SUV for heavy unloading (like cases of water, etc.). Produce bags easy to open. CONS: They don't take credit cards. Odd closing time to purchase alcohol (8:45pm), and for gas station attendant (6:45pm). Return policy is unfair that you can't return an opened item. If it tastes horrible, you're stuck with it. No refunds like other stores. I will never again try any new food from Woodman's. I just threw away $4.00 in the garbage for an item I bought that was gross. They're insulted if you try to return something. It's forbidden! You better like what you buy, otherwise, that's tough. If you're charged double for an item you only bought one of, expect them to walk away to go check inventory before you get your refund. Because of the double scan and double charge for an item on my last purchase, I will now check my receipt before I leave the store. Not only was it a hassle to have to go back to get my refund, I was made to feel like a thief, like I was lying about being double charged. I do like the store but their return policy and front desk attitude will hinder my purchases.

Difficult to find an associate. Candy section is the best. No deli, bakery or salad area.

I like this store. It is one stop shopping for almost everything we need, except bread- nothing there for us. (We have to go to European stores for bread). Unfortunately slowly deteriorating. There is difference between first couple of weeks of opening and now. Mess on the shelves, especially vegetable section. Seems like nobody is cleaning shelves there. Vegetables are not as fresh as they were at store opening. I hope they bring this store back to as it was at opening and maintain it that way for years to come.
