I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Vanessa's Modern Bride. I had gone to so many others prior and I just knew from the moment I stepped foot that Vanessa's was going to be the place I found my dress. Lisa was so accommodating and really understood the vision I had for my dress. She even did her own research to find the dress of my dreams. The store offers unique dresses that you just can't find anywhere else. And don't get me started on Dorina, she's the most amazing seamstress I've ever come across. Her year's of experience showed in the way she was able to transform my dress to fit my body perfectly. Don't waste your time going anywhere else. Vanessa's will help you find your perfect dress!

Poor business practices: My daughter made an appointment to view dresses and have a true bridal experience with friends and family, however, her experience at THIS shop was not to be. My daughter was coming in from out of town and told the owner that she was not ready to commit to a dress as this WAS going to be her first time looking at and trying on dresses. The audacity of the OWNER to ASSUME that my daughters time was not valuable enough to take up this shops valuable appointment time is nothing short of RUDE, BIG HEADED, EGOTISTICAL, and POOR BUSINESS practice!!! 1) Dont assume a potential customers intentions! 2) You are not as VALUABLE as a customer.how would you be in business if you didnt have customers!! 3) YOU are NOT the only small, family, owned shop in town!!! (I wouldnt patronize this shop even if they were the only one in town.)

Inquired about setting up an appointment over a month in advance, seeing as I will be visiting from out of town and this will be my first dress shopping experience (special moment). I am aware that I have a tight timeline of selecting a dress and when my wedding is; however, was not expecting the below response from the shop. I will be taking my business elsewhere, to a different boutique that would view my appointment as "Valuable": "I do have the 10:00 appointment available on Saturday, 3/23. However, I would appreciate you clearing up something for me. Being that your wedding is in October, you should be planning to make a commitment to a wedding gown, if you find one. Gowns will take 6 months to special order, and another 6-8 weeks for alterations. Given that you are from out of town, even more time is to everyones benefit. We are a small, family owned, bridal boutique and dont want to take up a valuable time slot from another bride who is actually intending to order her bridal gown. If I am misunderstanding your saying that you will not make a commitment to a dress at this time, please let me know, and I am happy to schedule you."
