      image Very much enjoying my stay here. The rooms were nice and we had in room kitchen, clothes, washer and dryer, dishwasher, two full bathrooms, dishes in the cupboards, patio and patio furniture. The restaurant, pool, hot tubs and office nearby. There is a store, " Splash" where I rented snorkeling gear for the week and bought a beach bag. I did snorkeling at the beach down the street. I swam with the manta rays at night. I attended the Fire and Feast Luau at the Outrigger Resort just about a mile from the Kona Coast Resort.
      The birds are a pleasant surprise for me with their cries and fashion. The resort landscaping is very nice. The restaurant breakfast was popular with me and especially the fried potatoes were well prepared and seasoned.
      Walkability: You will want a car here to explore the surrounding areas. We used a Turo car rental and we're pleased with the experience. There are walking paths on the Resort and sidewalks, some interesting signage indicating a native Hawaiian religious site, views of a golf course and Botanical Gardens. A hot tub is nearby as there are three.

      Rooms: Beautiful rooms, spacious, everything you could want. Ac, washer/dryer, dishwasher, multiple pools, two showers!!

      image When I travel, I like a clean room. This place is pretty gross. When we opened the door, we were punched in the face with the smell of carpet cleaner. My eyes started watering. The carpets are old and worn. The paint on the walls above our kitchen are bubbling (mold???) and when I took out a skillet, there was grease in it. On top of this, they want to charge you for air conditioning. It's stuffy and smelly in this place. Even though the service workers are very nice, I won't be back.
