Kona Home Vacation Rentals

Do not book at Kona Homes with Emmy! Very difficult to get in contact with her (does not respond to emails, picks up the phone 1/10 calls) and she does not honor her word. We spent $5000 booking for our extended family prior to COVID, COVID hit along with all the travel restrictions, Emmy promised us we could use our $5000 credit with her any time. Fast forward a year and she is no longer honoring her "any time" credit as it's been over a year. Now too much time has passed for us to dispute this payment as well since we trusted her for the credit. Book elsewhere!

Beautiful location right in the heart of Kona. You can tell Emmy cares a lot about preparation, cleanliness and accommodation for her guests.

Unfortunately the rental process isnt transparent. I had exchanged communications with Emmy the manager and clearly informed her a check was in the mail as she had informed me she would block our dates for a 50th anniversary trip. Once the check arrived she proceeds to inform me that she allowed someone to rent one of our places while our payment was en route. We are people of our word and did as we said and sent payment only to see it be rented to someone else. Very disappointed and suggest others consider better options if you are looking for super customer service and expect follow through on commitments and communications.
