Rebecca Birenbaum demonstrated great expertise, efficiency, and customer service. I am still amazed at how easily she answered the questions that my financial advisor, another tax professional, and IRS were all unable to answer. I usually do my own taxes, but experienced some life changes in 2023 that complicated my taxes this year, so I looked for professional help. I hesitated to try H&R Block, because they seem like the "big box store" of tax professionals. However, I should have come to them first. Not only did Ms. Birenbaum answer the questions others couldn't, she was super fast and completely focused on my account, even while balancing a very heavy workload. Although Ms. Birenbaum was friendly, she stayed completely professional and her expertise was obvious as she worked through my returns with me. Her fingers flew across the keyboard as she completed my return. Whenever I asked a question, she was able to explain the answer to me in a way I understood without "dumbing down" the answer. She looked me in the eye as she spoke, took my questions seriously, and never had to stop to look up tax law. Even after I left the office, she kept in contact online and quickly updated my returns so I could approve them for filing. I'm still not sure how she gave my account the attention it needed, because I saw how many other customers she helped just in the short time I was at H&R Block. In the end, Ms. Birenbaum improved many things on this year's returns in relation to the previous taxes I've filed myself. She was incredibly dedicated to getting everything right and making sure I was comfortable with the final product. Ms. Birenbaum earned my trust, which isn't easy to do. I highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a knowledgeable, conscientious tax professional.
