Have always enjoyed Ruth's Cris but this experience in Hawaii was far from a good one. My wife loved her plate, kids as well. Mine was ok.
But the service left much to be desired. Not from the waiter, he was good.
We had a reservation at 6pm. I have a 2 year old so always make it a point to state that in the reservation and to state that we need a high chair. Upon arrival we're told that they will be sitting us in a booth. I told them that we preferred a table due to having a toddler and needing a high chair. The hostess was very nice and told me she'd accommodate us.
Two minutes later the manager comes up and states that he couldn't give us a table because they were busy and we needed to sit in a booth or wait until later. We said ok thinking that maybe on a Thursday night that this RC was busy due to location.
We're seated, my two year old is in a booster seat with no restraint. So my wife and I for the time were we're there had to keep sitting her back down. The worst part and the reason for this review is that there were 5 tables empty. Five!!! And remained empty from the time we sat down to the time we left. It completely affected our experience! I didn't enjoy it and will not be going back. We tipped well, 25% as it was not the waiters fault.
The other reason we were so disappointed at the service was that the manager went to every other table to ask how everything was and completely skipped us. Not a reason was given. We'd understand if they were busy. But spending $300 on dinner to be treated this was disappointing.
I won't ever go back to another Ruth's Cris.
