Nice rooms. Great location half a block from the beach with some rooms having an ocean view. They were wonderful letting us check on early for an additional fee.

Staff, cost and location make this worth it. If you're the person or people who enjoys a hotel room to relax in then don't bother. Price was great though rooms are very dark and super uncomfortable. Balcony, equally uninviting. Lobby, wasted space/missed opportunity in the refreshment bar that goes unused. Charge $10 a day for coffee and a local malasada and the people will pay it. No one is stopping to read your to go sandwich sign off elevator, we're going to leave for the beach. Reposition this signage next to coffee you should be offering in that wasted space. I finally read it day 4. Rooms: this was a dorm room. We each booked a full size ocean view with balcony. They were identical. Each needs brightening and an overhaul. Bed was too soft and we both slept poorly, water pressure was/is bad but I liked it, forced me to take a longer slower shower, I went into slow down island mode lol. Added seating in room was a desk chair. It was bad. Same style chairs on patio w small table. Plenty of unused space on patio, pull those awful chairs for hammocks or something. We both appreciated the mini fridge and lavender satchels offering. You're use of essential oil products is genius and keeps bugs away. We never saw 1 bug in/on property the whole week, pretty rare on the island. Service was impeccable. Everyone we met during our stay was delightful and sincere in their approach. Your staff is your saving grace. I can't even shout out 1 or 2 stand outs, truly everyone was amazing. Front desk, Housekeeping, and even Valet, all fantastic. I arrived the day after my birthday, staffers left me a card and a local bottle of bubbly. That was so appreciated and I even kept the card. Noteworthy details: Every staff member will make you truly feel at home and welcomed. Amazing is what this team is. Note, We booked here as they're Hawaiian owned and operated and a boutique property which is rare in Waikiki. If not for the staff we'd likely not stay again without an overhaul of the property.
