Stopped by every single day of our vacation and were told we could only rent a kayak on Wednesday (our last day) anytime after 10am and we did not need reservations. We literally asked just for clarification yesterday and were told just stop by anytime after 10am. We stopped by today, Wednesday at 1pm and were told we could have rented a kayak before noon but now the one guy who could possibly handle unlocking a kayak for us (who was the same gentleman who told us everyday to come back on Wednesday) was going home. Apparently his shift was 10am-1pm which would have been very useful information any of the several times we asked.

There was confusion as I booked a trip to go to the top of Mauna Kea (on Hawaii Island) from a place called Maui Tickets for Less in Waikiki. I specifically came to Hawaii Island to go up Mauna Kea and with airfare, hotel, etc. the trip cost me a lot of money, otherwise I wouldn't have come out. I was told the day before, that my trip was not to the top of Mauna Kea but was instead a star gazing tour, which was not what I wanted. I tried to cancel the trip but was within the 48 hour cancellation period, so I could not get my money refunded. KapohoKine told me to check my email from them where they disclosed their trip does not go up to Mauna Kea. I found the email and they mention this but it's written at the bottom of the email. The trip involved a dinner at the Harbor House restaurant. I thought the meal was covered at the restaurant but the restaurant but the Harbor House charged me $21 for drinks, which I thought would be covered by the price I paid for the ticket.

Stargazing was a joke! Beware of scammers! The worst experience I would say. They dont tell you properly that they dont go to the summit or to the visitor centre of Mauna Kea. They say they avoid taking you to the native land. In fact, they dont even take you to the altitude of visitor center. They take you off of highway and set up a telescope and show you 5-6 stars and talk for 1 hour or so. We were just 6k feet high. We could have done this easily with our car. They give you a morsel of rice and exactly 4 zucchini pieces for dinner, which could cost you only $2. They say that they provide hot chocolate and coffee for cold, but we didnt get anything. It was such a waste of time and money. There were 3 buses from the same company at the same timeeveryone of them were pissed or surprised that the way they scammed us. Im not sure who rated 5 stars to this tour? May be their own people? I want to rate them zero so that others can save their money. They dont take you to caves. Just the two closest falls, which you would have seen already and kill time unnecessarily to go to Mauna Kea.
