Visionworks Shoppes at Lavista

September 9th 2021 I had a very positive experience at Visionworks in Tucker today. I was warmly greeted by Minira who quickly checked me in. If I had any anxiety about visiting this facility during a pandemic, my fears would have been put to rest. The steps taken to sanitize the equipment and work area were explained to me during each encounter of my visit. I arrived early to select frames and as soon as I had my name was called for the preliminary examination. Unfortunately, I did not make note of the women who did this examination, but she was congenial and very efficient. When the exam was done I was shown a seat and told the Doctor would be with me shortly. In just a few minutes Dr Yi came and escorted me to her examination room. Surprisingly she remembered me from my last exam 2 years ago. She expertly went through her examination and because of her kind demeanor I felt none of the familiar angst while considering her questions which option was clearer, 1, 2 or 3. At the conclusion of the examination she carefully explained her findings and why my prescription was changing. She asked if I had any questions and hearing that I did not, handed me the necessary paperwork and escorted my back to the sales floor. As I had already picked out my frames, Minira went right to work taking the necessary measurements. As she did so she asked me if I had used my insurance coverage to purchase glasses last year. I explained that because of the pandemic I postponed my yearly exam and opportunity to get new glasses. She replied that my insurance, VSP, would honor the 2020 benefit and I could also get a second pair of glasses. Even with the excellent vision coverage my employer offers, a new pair of glasses with the necessary addons for glare and screen viewing is considerable. When I voiced this concern to Minera when sent to tapping on her keyboard and was able to work it out where the 2nd pair of glasses (minus the add ons) would be free of charge. Who wouldnt jump at that opportunity? From walking in the door to leaving I was impressed with the friendly, professional manner of everyone I encountered and will without reservation highly recommend Visionworks of Tucker to anyone who will listen.
