I was depressed and suicidal and all I needed was some help. Dont expect to get any from here. PS I got a good therapist and Im fine now but dont trust Ridgeview

Staff where rude to not only me, my parents, and other patients. They treated us like we were an inconvenience to their job even though we WERE their job. They treat the girls better than they treat the boys, better food, better staff, etc. One of the staff members was randomly shoving patients for no reason. (Also one of the night staff tried fighting one of the patients and another one was giving patients permission to assult other patients. It's a nightmare, I don't want to see a response to this review apologizing or disregarding anything, you can apologize to me and the hundreds of other bad reviews here by fixing your facility.
Edit: When I was transferred to the facility from the hospital I was in a waiting room with no windows or anything for over 13 HOURS AND NO UPDATES, I was scared and didn't know what was going on, I ended up falling asleep and no one came in to talk to me, I got there at 6 PM on a Wednesday and wasn't put into the system and transferred to the unit until 9 AM the next morning.

Should not be open!! I was choked by a male staff member for speaking out of turn or so he says but in reality he tried to follow a female patient into her room and close the door and when I interjected he got agitated and said he was giving her a shot but the protocol for shots were the door must be open and the patient stands in the doorway so people can have eyes that its just a shot . Plus he wasnt the doctor and had no supplies in his hand .they also pick favorites who they can easily control to do things to push other patients . Such as they encouraged these 2 females to fight physically , and the same female they got to fight other patients went into my room when its supposed to get lock every morning and that patient with the help of the staff grabbed my belongings while we were supposed to be in group and I came into my room to use the restroom to all of my clothes missing and in the next room with the said patient wearing them and pissing in them all while the staff either laughed or looked away . Bugs everywhere on top of fights all the times and in the coed facility theres a lot of licking lips and winks from male patients and staff to the female patients . As a victim of SA before coming here I already was suffering from ptsd . But to have men my grandfathers age kick their lips or trying to rub on me or dance with me is disgusting and caused more trauma . Meals were served at different times everyday and sometimes there wouldnt be enough food for everyone so some people just got oatmeal crme pies for lunch. And to the male tech or nurse who choked me I dont remember your name but I remember your face . Over 6ft 250-300 pounds light skin looks like hes in his 60s . Truly disgusting! Thankful to those who were a light to us such as the blonde tech we saw every once in a while she actually took us to the gym at least and played music . And to Mr.T or Uncle T dark skin bald guy he didnt work much but when he was there he tried to bring light by providing jokes and laughter even when things hit the fan when they shouldnt . I only saw a doctor twice my whole time was never told when I as getting discharged until the day I got discharged which was after I was choked by the way . We didnt have anything to do but sit in the chair and look at the tv until bed and showers and sometimes we got night meds at different times every day and never told what we were being given and if we asked we got attitude and dirty looks from staff . If you need help and need a facility head over to peachford in Gwinnett do not come to ridgeview . Better treatment and better staff overall . And multiple programs to help everyone for whatever they need help with .without making a mockery of your situation and not traumatizing like ridgeview

if I could leave 0 stars, I would. i do not recommend this facility to ANYONE. this place just wants to keep you as long as possible to rack up more money. its sad honestly. they do not even treat you like people..genuinely feel traumatized and fully drained after leaving this place. yet they want to help your mental health . lol. please please do not go here and do NOT ever consider sending your loved ones here. there are better options out there. ridge view sucks & the doctors are a joke. these people do not care about their patients. (but shoutout nurse alisha & miss AP - you both are the great people and literally the only good part of this establishment).
the rest of yall - do better. and please for the love of god clean the patients rooms. I was there 6 days and dust and bugs were in my bed and shower thanks again !
