As a seasoned wedding planner who has worked with numerous hotels, I can confidently say that The Alida Hotel stands out as exceptional! On April 6th we held my couple's reception dinner on the stunning rooftop, Harper's Terrace, followed by dancing in the beautiful Lost Square, and it was nothing short of magical. Jessica Mathis was the key collaborator who helped bring all the elements together seamlessly. Her professionalism, attention to detail, and dedication were instrumental in creating an unforgettable experience for the couple and their guests. The Alida Hotel offers not only a beautiful location with stunning views of the city but also an amazing staff that goes above and beyond to make every event special. We came to a wedding on the rooftop at the Alida this past weekend. The drink service on the rooftop was provided by a slim, mid 40s African American with greying hair. I describe this man as to bring to light what I should have while I was at the hotel in person. While having pre wedding cocktails with the wedding party the service provided was the worst I ever experienced at a so called 4 star hotel. He was rude, telling us he would not make us drinks as he was too busy. On top of that I went to close my tab as the wedding was set to begin in 20 minutes and his response was, I cannot get your tab for you. I am too busy. His co workers were near to him and he didnt check to see if any of them could offer assistance. Instead one had over heard and came over to help out. This man should be fired. If Alida wants return business then this man wont help them achieve this. We certainly will not, whatever the cost, settle for that sort of inconsideration and negligence. Deceptive pricing. Horrible noise in room, no sound proofing and acoustics in the bathroom are horrible. People in the room can hear your business! Hidden charges. The staff however and very friendly, and pleasant. Will not go back - ever Rooms: Nothing special. Hardwood floors. Horrible noise from the hall, other rooms. Hidden charges.

I brought a small group of businesses here to Mastermind for a few days and our experience was 5 STAR! From the moment I walked in til the time we left we had NO hiccups at all. The southern nature was present from the front desk staff to the restaurant and bar. The VIBE, music in lounge, pool cabanas, outdoor firepit sitting areas to the fun rooftop bar were all great amenities to make our stay both fun, comfortable and meaningful. Loved the proximity to River St and the NO NEED for Ubers once we got ourselves to the Alida. One of our favorite perks was the water bottle handed to us at checkout and the 'filling stations' on each floor. The rooms were perfectly designed, with plenty of closet spaces, steamer, working area etc. We will be back!!
