First I would like to say that Mary and then my delivery driver Shania (so sorry if that is spelled wrong) were extremely friendly, helpful, and on the whole made my experience much better than what it could have been. I really appreciated their help so much, they are incredible at what they do and I hope they are rewarded and praised accordingly.
Everyone else who worked with me at this location did not know what they were doing. I understand this is probably part of CarMax training and maybe not their fault, but the first salesperson started calling and texting me before I had even finished filling out my online application, which was really off putting and frustrating. Then, the person who helped me originally was not even available on the days she told me she would be available so I was passed between so many different people until I finally ended up with Mary. After working diligently for three days uploading every document they asked of me, the store cancelled the reservation on my car without warning me and I had to go through the process all over again of reserving it and filling out my information. Then no one in the office could tell me the correct information to put in my loan application as I was not financing through CarMax but an outside source. I had to ask and reframe my questions several times before getting the answer that I needed. Finally, they told me they wanted a direct deposited from the company I was financing with, but when they showed up to deliver my car I was told that they wanted a bank check instead. Fortunately Shania was able to help me out and eventually what we found out was that the office had messed up their end of the paperwork. So I had to resign all of my paperwork ALL OVER AGAIN because they messed up and filed paperwork for a check that I didnt have because they told me I didnt need one. Overall supremely frustrating experience. I probably would not try to buy from CarMax again. On the bright side my new car was perfect and the process of trading in my old car and having them pick it up and deliver my new car was super convenient.
