Service absolutely horrible. The rate for service is a ZERO. We came in town for a 1/2 marathon race in down town Rome. We requested a late check out as the race doesnt begin until 930 and we run roughly 2 hours. We requested an extra hour and the receptionist stated no late check outs and they are sold out all weekend and if we didnt remove our items by 11am they would remove them for us. I called reservations and confirmed that tomorrow was not sold out and there were plenty of rooms available. So the receptionist lied to us. We just wanted extra time to come back and shower. NEVER in the other 29 states we have completed in has not granted extra check out time if we have requested. They have all happily understood..

Wow! what a horrible experience. We were visiting a local college for my daughter and this hotel left a very bad taste in our mouths.
Our first room smelled so much like marijuana we couldn't stay in there for more than 30 seconds. The second room smelled fine, but during our routine bedbug inspection, my daughter found a hypodermic needle used for "insulin". Whether legitimately an insulin needle or not, "GROSS!"
On of the staff was not interested in being bothered by guests that when a guest in front of me in line walked away from the desk the clerk just rolled her eyes.
I traveled several times a month for over 18 years and this was by far the worst hotel I've ever stayed in.
