Very knowledgeable of Honda vehicles. Great at diagnosing my challenging issues with two Honda Pilots. I don't live close, so bringing a vehicle to Jimmy Merck is not easy. But it's worth it.

This was a terrible experience and a complete waste of time, to say the least. The mechanic I dealt with was obnoxious and refused to diagnose my vehicle. Initially, I wanted to work with Jimmy Sr., but since he wasn't available, I tried to work with his son. However, I quickly realized that it was a mistake. The son lacked both personality and skills as a mechanic. Unless you're dealing with Jimmy Sr., who is very knowledgeable and competent, I would recommend not wasting your time with this shop.

I live all the way down in Jacksonville Florida. We had a 2002 Honda Accord that needed a new transmission. In Jacksonville the prices to rebuild this transmission were so high we could not afford to get it repaired at all. I found Merck on eBay as they had an ad for rebuilt Honda transmissions. I got in touch with the owner's son Jimmy, he was extremely knowledgeable and the price was Dynamite. From that point I arranged to drive overnight and arrive at his shop at opening. I remember the car just limped in to their shop. He told me it could take a couple days so I arranged for a hotel for two nights. It was shocking when he called me at the end of the first day and said the car was ready. That being said, this was over 5 years ago. The Accord has since been sold to a friend. Who is still on the road with that transmission at the time of this review. They used all Honda parts with verified receipts and rebuilt my transmission in one day. The price savings was nice but thinking back they were worth a lot more than price. I would use these guys in the future for sure. What more can I say than I highly recommend Merck automotive. Don't hesitate to get your transmission work done there for sure. Being that transmissions are one of the most difficult parts of the car the other stuff would be a breeze for Merck to fix. Thanks again for your great work guys!

Mr. Jimmy and his sons are awesome! I have used this place for many years and I am always satisfied with their work. They specializes in Hondas, they are very knowledgeable, honest, and has thorough attention to detail.
