Georgia Figure Skating Club

The good thing paying for membership is getting club ice one a week if you live close to the rink. This organization won't listen to members' concerns and will even silence them and close reviews if members were to write a negative review. This organization has not evolved and adapted over the years. They are very behind with technology, and if you were to suggest or ask to do something a more modern way like paying direct deposit, you're told you're dubbed "difficult to deal with." Figure Skating is dang expensive anyway and if they think charging even a few dollars isn't a big deal....this is when I told them I'll pay in check and donate the rest of the money to the club rather to the payment processing system. They don't care about their own volunteers. As a trial judge under this club, they don't care about their members. So they will pay the first event of Regionals or Adult Nationals, but failed to pay for trial judge fees (seminar fees, stamps, envelopes, paper, even a club jacket) yet they told me this in writing. None of this has been honored. Plus they don't remember the stuff they said. If you were to put in concerns and complaints of this, they don't care. Plus they do peer reviews, so even a reasonable complaint that may offend someone, one negative peer review will prevent you from getting a judging appointment even if you're great. Who wants to be a part of a sorority/fraternity full of drama? Plus I was accused by Test Chair Ginger Whatley by not being a paid up member, and while being pretty offended by this, sent her a copy of my receipt. How incredibly insulting to my character by not even asking for proof and no apology. I won't come back until this place cleans house. They are losing volunteers.....
