St. Francis Psychiatry

I'm outpatient with Ashley... I got to say she seems to be the only one who listens to me. I've had mental health issues and health issues for a while and doctors just keep brushing me off. She seemed concerned about some things, requested some labs and caught hypothyroidism and vitamin d deficiency which my gyno and pcm hasn't caught. She listens to your concerns, doesn't brush you off or gaslight you like many psychiatrists I've had in the past do. She doesn't have this holier than though attitude. She's very personable which makes it easier for to talk to her. Going to her appointments I don't feel dreadful like with other providers. If you want an amazing physiatrist, she is definitely it.

My doctor sent a referral here for me in January. I didn't hear from anyone here until mid March. Woman said she would email me paperwork to fill out, confirmed my email address and the paperwork never came. The office and their staff are obviously incompetent. I've let my doctor know they should refer to someone else as this place is an absolute joke.

My son and I visited this facility as a recommendation from my son's physician who recommeneded inpatient treatment. Our local institution was full at the time. Most we were helped by were wonderful, but there were two that were not at all. The intake coordinator portrayed an attitude as if we were bothering him, this was during my son's interview and when pointing us to the main entrance. My son was obviously having a very bad day or else we wouldn't have been there. He decided to lay in the floor (sometimes this is the only place he can get comfortable). I'm aware it isn't sanitary, however that was not a battle to choose on this day. But there was one employee who decided to voice that I needed to get my child off the unsanitary floor. I heard the intake coordinator dial the physician, I did not hear the conversation, but I know it was short...less than a minute. Can't help but wonder if the physician had gotten the full picture if he or she would have felt my son met inpatient criteria. However, after the attitude of the intake coordinator, I was quite relieved in some sense that my son would not be staying there. As mentioned prior, all other staff met was helpful and friendly but the bad experiences out weighed.
