image My experience at Bluff was very positive. Most of the staff are in recovery and are empathetic to the needs of clients. Their passion for sober living is infectious and was very inspiring for me personally. The accommodations/food are are above average. The equine therapy in particular is exceptional - the individual who leads it is a very down-to-earth person who has a unique ability to connect with clients on a deep level and helps us to be okay with being vulnerable.

image My wife was there and said it was NOTHING like them website. Staff was rude and treated them like children. Nursing staff was terrible. Place smelled, laundry smelled. NOT family oriented. No visitation and calls out where only on Tue&Thur only 15 min each of those days. Cameras in bed rooms with male staff monitoring female quarters. Clear shower curtains with no privacy. Failed to give her Humira shot for crohns when due which is life saving for her. They make up rules as they go. And DONT THINK FOR A MINUTE THAT Your anonymity will be safe while youre there.

image Now i definitely wasn't an easy patient, and I'll be the first to admit that. However, I was very disappointed with this place. The food here is good, but they try to keep you off sugar. The groups were mainly run by other people in longterm recovery. The weekends were long and redundant. The medical doctor is good, and my detox wasn't awful, even coming off methadone. My biggest problem, was my therapist told my father I was using fentanyl, and i wasnt aware she was going to do that. That permanently broke our relationship, even to this day, and that was about 2 years ago. I got extremely upset, and they threatened me with going to either sober living or the psych ward. If you're giving me the option to go to sober living, clearly you're manipulating me to go to sober living and you dont truly think im a threat to myself. Also, a male therapist who was not my therapist, came into my room during one of the AA meetings because i wasnt there and saw me naked. I was obviously angry and hid in the bathroom while screaming for him to get out of my room. He remained in the doorway for a few minutes telling me i better come to that AA meeting "or else id have a huge problem". I felt so violated, and still have trauma from the whole experience. Worst treatment center I've been to, byfar. Would not recommend.

image Would give more stars if available. Had a very enlightening experience, while being well taken care of by an experienced and welcoming staff. Would absolutely recommend to anyone needing treatment for substance abuse disorder. Beautiful facility with plenty of activities conducive to recovery.

image The Bluff is truly a blessing in disguise. I was at The Bluff from 11/26/23 - 12/14/24. I had an amazing experience there, and would highly recommend them to anyone who is genuinely looking to make a change. From the staff to the food, everything was top notch. The staff is amazing and the establishment is nice. My therapist Hillary, and Case Manager Tammy Lee honestly saved my life. The list goes on with nothing but good things to say. When you leave Bluff you will honestly feel like youre part of the family. If you or a loved one is struggling, I highly suggest you make the life changing decision to go to Bluff! Bluff Family
