Living in midtown, this has become our new default restaurant for company and celebrations. The staff is consistently friendly and knowledgable. We were just here when my parents were in town and our server Sebastian was phenomenal. The kale salad was a generous serving and the socca w mushrooms was unbelievable! The portion size of the stripped bass was a bit small for the $30 price but my father really enjoyed the generous fried flounder and we had a lovely experience. I took off one star on the food score because the portions/presentation doesn't seem to be consistent in my experience with desserts or appetizers but that won't stop me from dining here. I hope they bring back the pistachio gelato - it's the best in the city! While I'm at it please consider bringing back the radicchio salad and cauliflower side from when you first opened! ***We just dined here again last night and our server Hannah was exceptional! Give her a raise, she's the reason we'll be back and ask for her. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and turned us onto Nocino - an amazing walnut appertif that might be in a special espresso martine that I'll definitely order if/when it's on the menu. The new fish and chips is a generous portion with housemade kettle chips and pickles that pack a punch. I was so glad I ordered it! We also had the fussili (will order again) and my spouse said the scallops were a winner too. They just changed the menu and I was sad that the Socca was no longer offered (but the friendly new manager, Niko, explained why) and I hope they can bring that back because we're obsessed with it. Regardless, every time the change the menu we find several dishes we love. My only plea is to bring back the pistachio gelato! It was the best in the city!
