Amanda Guentner, MD

She was a very kind doctor. However, I had to tell her what tests to run and was basically told you just have to live with this. Through my own research I have been able to heal my symptoms which makes me wonder - are these doctors only trained to prescribe medicine and not heal people? Again, she was incredibly kind but I wouldnt recommend unless you want to be on medication for life.

I had my first colonoscopy today (unsedated) and Dr. Guenter was amazing. She made me feel comfortable every step of the way. I highly recommended her and I am thankful for her care. Thank you Dr. Guenter!

Dr. Guentner is undoubtedly a professional who wants to do the best for her patients, but I had an unhappy and expensive experience. One hemorrhoid banding session resulted in plenty of pain but no solution. The bill was $545.26 with no explanation. Next up was a colonoscopy at Northside Hospital on referral of Dr. Guentner, where the mafia of GI Anesthesia of Georgia LLC was eagerly awaiting to extort its dazed subjects. The outfit submitted two bills, for $4k each, for this routine procedure, one by the anesthesiologist and one by an assistant. Sure, United HealthCare knocked this staggering $8k bill down by more than 90% but that still left me with a $613.20 bill. The lesson, I guess: Ask about anesthesia charges before you are at your most vulnerable!
