Referral/Registration staff at Marcus Autism Center is extremely rude and lack the basic skills needed to care for this population. My husband and I was escalated to a supervisor with the last name Wilson (or similar) who threatened to hang up the phone because we were upset that they were so neglectful with handling our daughters paperwork. We did not use any profane language only a stern tone of voice as we have been back and forth with this team on calls since January 7th. The supervisor answered and the first thing she said was I can not talk to you both at one time only one designated person needs to be speaking in a very nasty tone because she heard me speaking to my husband in the background. After multiple faxes, an email, and the online referral they somehow can not find my daughters paperwork in their system. This team is the first interaction for families and sets a bad example for not just Marcus Autism Center but the entire CHOA organization. As a colleague in the medicine, I am utterly disappointed by the lack of respect and compassion for myself, my husband, and most of all our 2 year old daughter! Your supervisor is on a high horse and thinks it is appropriate to play God in Healthcare by denying us the right to any information or assistance because she doesnt like our approach! Be aware of this place! I will be leaving reviews in every place that I can and also filing a grievance with CMS.

We generally go to Scottish Rite, but due to an appointment change had to come here. The hospital set up is confusing. Nobody who works there wants to even look at you for fear of having to offer assistance. My asking security where anything was felt like the biggest imposition upon them. The wait time at registration was unbelievable. One lady, she had a line out the door like it was Walmart. She tried her best though. The nurses were nice enough. We were initially led into a room where body fluid was still in a suction device, luckily the nurse noticed and moved us. My child's procedure went well. My biggest complaint is the parking garage $20 for 2hrs. Family of sick children and there's this audacity!! There's a sign when you finally get in the hospital telling you "don't forget to bring your parking ticket for a discount". Newsflash we're already in the building at this point. Some of us are not able to go back and forth. I have a leg injury that makes getting around extremely hard. I didn't have it in me to go back to the car. If there had been a sign upon entering the deck I would have known. Not to mention not one single person mentioned it, so I'm sure it would have been a hassle anyways. I think most people leave their tickets in the car from fear of losing them. Imagine the horror to see $20 pop up after we'd only been inside 4hrs, and now we're trapped in the garage unless we pay. Scottish Rite charges $5. I don't understand why there is a discount, how about making the rates reasonable all around. I will never return to this location.
