Bold Catering & Design

This review is for Bold Catering, as we did not use their design services. Bold Catering was a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process of planning our wedding reception. Mary Margaret was our main contact - she was incredibly responsive, professional, and helpful as we planned a somewhat unorthodox family style menu. They were also extremely accommodating for guests with food allergies. The food itself was delicious and everything we had hoped for (I got many comments from guests that it was the best wedding food they'd ever had) and the day of service was excellent. I would highly recommend if you are looking to make the food an integral part of your wedding experience.

Great for weddings, bat mitzvah, parties and anything you need as far as events. Wonderful people to work with.

2 stars because the plated dinner at our wedding was great; however, I wholeheartedly recommend going with another caterer because our actual experience working with the team on the day of the event added an unnecessary layer of stress and disorganization. The site coordinator/manager was changed the day before our event, and the woman filling in did not introduce herself to anyone, so we had to actually ask around who was in charge. She was avoidant and didn't want to communicate with our wedding coordinator about the timing of the cocktail hour/dinner service. Furthermore, when I communicated there was an issue with the desserts, she responded with "...take it up with someone else. I don't know anything about what was discussed." I understand that she was just filling in for the night, but her complete unwillingness to communicate with us, and her complete lack of basic professionalism created so much unnecessary frustration during the evening.
