U-Haul Moving & Storage at Citrus Park

The people were friendly but not really clear on the process. The attendant told me there was a 1/4 tank of gas but there was less than a 1/4 tank when I left. I drove the vehicle for 15 miles put 2 gal of gas in the vehicle, then was charged a $30 fuel fee plus, a 4 gal surcharge of $18. Buyer beware of "additional fees" that should not have been charged. Update** Was contacted by the manager for the Citrus Park site and was refunded for the oversight of fuel charges. I updated to 4 stars knowing that was an innocent mistake that was made good.

The staff at this U-Haul jocation is highly qualified, proactive, super friendly, and quick. The equipment is equally high quality. This location has a large supply of trailers, so whatever I need is always available.

After this experience, I dont think Ill rent from this company again. I scheduled a pick for 3/30 for a 26. I get a call back and Im told they dont have anything available and that I would need to pick it up in a different county that is at least 30 miles away from the store I selected in Tampa. How about U-Haul the truck from over there and bring it to the location because that sounds like a U problem. Why let people make reservations on line and call the day before saying you dont have it? Why, so the company can keep shoving people on the list when theirs nothing available just for the . Or is it because your reps need to meet productivity on how many reservations they can make so that they can continue working from home? Made another reservation via phone this time to only be told theres no 20 and 26 in Tampa at ALL. Called again to check for 15 U-Haul truck. Rep I spoke with confirmed the new location in Tampa had the 15 etc. Mind you, Im driving 35 miles to this location because I had already moved during the week and needed to schedule for Saturday. Arrived at the store for my 9am confirmed and guaranteed appointment. To only be told, they had no 15 truck available and that it was made for Monday LMAO. After a heated argument, they were only able to give me the 15 truck they supposedly didnt have available with half a tank of gas and only 100 miles. Mind you, I have to drive 35 miles back to Zephyrhills to drop off the items. I was only able to do a one way trip instead of a two trip as originally planned because they wouldnt allow me to drop off the truck in Zephyrhills. Probably so their store can utilize that truck and rent it again. How ridiculous is that a company as big as U-HAUL, cant seem to fix their reservation system. I also kept getting multiple calls from other stores during this process. WHAT A COMPLETE MESS. Its the year 2024, please fix your system and re-train your call center.
