Didnt end up receiving a ton of information from the leasing staff after multiple requests but will say the property and location look great.

Rob & Keith did an amazing job repairing my AC today. I submitted a non-emergency maintenance request, and they came to fix it that same morning. They set me up with a portable AC in the meantime to keep me cool while they were working on it. They were both super kind and courteous. I know if I need anything else fixed in my apartment that I can depend on them to be professional and do a great job.

MAA SoHo Square is a great place to live! The management, leasing, and maintenance team has been extremely helpful, responsive, & reliable. Lance is amazing & has been accommodating to all of my requests and questions. The location is also great with various shops, restaurants, and things to do in the area which is walking distance away. I would highly recommend this location!

Wonderful place to live! The location is amazing... walking distance to the supermarket, 24-hour CVS, Panera, and a couple of very nice restaurants along South Howard Ave. Hyde Park Village is also very close by, if you want more variety in terms of shops and restaurants.
The swimming pool area and grounds are beautiful, though for the amount of money that you pay for an apartment here, I do wish it was heated, so you can swim in the cooler months. Haven't had any issues safety-wise, and it's nice to have a reserved spot in a parking garage. Maintenance is usually on top of things once you submit a work order through the apartment community's website. Would have stayed another year, but needed to upgrade to a two bedroom, and prices in the South Tampa area have gotten crazy over the past year. Best of luck apartment hunting!

Im heading into my second year here at MAA Soho Square and I truly have been happy living here. The front office staff along with the maintenance crew are always quick to respond to any issue that arises. Keith has a golden soul is quick to handle issues that arise. I dealt with some flooring issues in my first unit and I was taken care of by the staff rather well as they put themselves in my shoes and they quickly accommodated me and fixed the issue at hand. The front office staff deals with a lot of strong personalities, so I give them credit. Living in South Tampa, there is a lot of entitlement that floats around and unfortunately some ends up living here; however, for the most part the majority of residents are awesome. There are many great people here who were lucky to call friends. I think Stephanie, Lance, and Aaron are adapting quickly and learning the ins and out of the building rather well. They have always treated me with respect, worked with me, and been helpful when problems have arisen, all while following MAA rules. The units alone are great, Ive lived in both a one bedroom (alone) and two bedroom (with another person) here and have found the size of the units to be perfect. Some of the features and amenities that I love: the pool during the summer, a great way to meet your neighbors, its well-kept and has enough space to lounge. The dog park is a social hour on its own, for both you and your pup. There are charcoal along with electric grills, which I think is great, especially if youre into meal prepping. I also love that parking is secure and you have an assigned spot. The location probably takes the cake as it is literally steps from Winn-Dixie, multiple restaurants, bars, Hyde Park village, and Bayshore Boulevard. It has a small town feel, yet is in the heart of it all being on the corner of Howard and Swann. Safety is a big priority for me and the building is literally Fort Knox if you get locked out, so its nice to know not just anyone is entering. (despite the door on the third floor being eternally stuck/broken, which is a huge headache) With anywhere you live, there are things you wish you could change and I think its important to share those as well. I wish the hallways, back elevator, and gym were kept clean. Sometimes, people let their dogs express themselves in the hallways and dont always pick it up, which is extremely annoying and although the responsibility of the tenant, sometimes it goes unnoticed for far too long. The back elevator constantly has dog urine in it, is filthy from who knows what, and smells. The hallways, besides the dog urine, are filthy and the fans have literal inches of dust flying off of them. I have noticed they have been doing better about this, but with the rent price as high as it is, there should be a daily cleaning crew here keeping the back elevator and hallways spick and span. There is a homeless man who often sleeps in the exterior parking garage stairwell that is connected to the dog park, giving him access to every floor of cars, which I dont love and nothing can be done because putting a lock on the door would be considered a fire hazard. That definitely scared me as I would walk my dog late at night. I wish they would invest less in the landscaping in the pool area and more in security and cleanliness. The only other thing is there are a few tenants in the building that are off their rockers, belligerent alcoholics, and need to be evicted. Theres really nothing the staff can do about it, but it does cause stress among the other residents who mind their business. Like I said, there are issues anywhere you live and despite the things I wish I could change, I have enjoyed living here.
