Tool & Truck Rental Center at The Home Depot

I have used home depot tool rental in the past, and I called ahead this time due to needing to rent a piece of heavy equipment. When I asked the cost, size of hitch needed and if there was anything else I should know I was told no by the associate. I arrive to find the tool rental section empty and not an associate in site. We wait and an associate comes in asks us what we need, and then he tells us there is a new policy a 1500.00 deposit because of touch theft. He then showed us the message it was dated 10/18/23 so there was no reason I was not informed prior to arriving. I drove and hour plus to be turned away because they don't take cash need specifically a bank card. I will no longer be doing any shopping of any kind at home depot. That deposit and why made me feel they were also classifying me as a thief.

Princess helped me with a stump grinder rental for a project at my house. She was polite and friendly.

Very helpful, and they had what I needed for a reasonable cost. Be prepared for a deposit tho, for some reason I wasn't expecting this and was a little bit surprised, but it is understandable.
