I saw an ad on Facebook for Home Team Realty. The homes on the ad were so gorgeous! I did some research and the website says the company is "by referral only." So I wasn't sure if they could help me because I was not directly referred by anyone. Moments after I was forced to make an account on the website I got a call from the owner. He asked me where I was in the home buying process. I told him I am no where near ready but I would like some information. I asked him if I needed to be referred by anyone and he laughed and said no that he could help me. So, from the start of the conversation I was confused why he claims to only work with referrals? As the conversation continued I felt extremely pressured to come into his office for information even though I told him I was no where ready. He even went as far as asking what my salary was over the phone, along with my credit score. I thanked him for his time and hung up. A company who claims to only work with referrals then uses your login information to call and harass you about buying a home, sounds like a scam to me. When I am ready to purchase I will steer clear of John Whetsel.

Worst experience I have ever had. John Whetsel is rude and talks down to you during the consultation. Half way through he gave me a packet to take home and inside was the script he was reading from the whole time.

Had a very bad experience. This business does not warrant the time for a review./ Your answer is incorrect despite what you website "says" ( I read mine). I did not make an appointment but rather spoke to a realtor from your office and inside of your office. I signed a contract and put down earnest money. The realtor ( who is likely no longer with you as she had personal issues and was new to the business) wrote the sales contract incorrectly for two parcels two miles from my location. Checking a website or an appointment does not negate the fact that one of your realtors made a mistake 3 years ago. I kept all of the documents as I do with all of my transactions. I did indeed have a bad experience with your business despite your inability to keep accurate records of former clients. Perhaps that was part of the problem three years ago. Absence of knowledge has a definition that I will decline to post. I am a very trusted Level 7 Guide with over 163,000 views. My review is simply my opinion to share with people who utilize Google search engine. I stand by my opinion based upon my first hand experience and physical presence during the time it took to get the errors corrected and select a Realtor who meets my standards. I can get very specific if you like but it will not necessarily be better than where things are at present. The precise date was 7/2/2015.My attorney wrote a letter to your office and the Tallahassee board of Realtors. The name used when posting my opinion is not my real name by the way. It is unwise to place private information for the public at large to have access to. Again, you are not factually correct but you are getting closer. I do not choose the time or date to give a review. Google sends me a note stating." Please review your experience from 4 years ago...in this case) Sometimes they ask the same day. I do not know how their algorithm works and it is apparent that you do not either based on the unfounded remark as to my guide status and timeliness of the review. Next, The name I use is a legal nickname I have been used for the past 62 years. I choose not to provide the universe with my legal name or social security number. You would not have had to look me up so to speak if you had respected the truth about which I wrote. Just as you did not anticipate a review, I did not anticipate the poor service provided by the company you just acquired. Finally, there is indeed a record of the name I use. It is widely known and my Driver's License had it for years. I regret your difficulty in conducting effective research and will be glad to help you obtain accurate information should the need arise. ( I have an investigator.) I will continue to correct any misinformation you post regarding my review.
