Rhonda is the absolute best! She told me upon our initial contact that she works really hard for veterans (and everyone else I might add) and she went above and beyond to secure my VA construction loan and she has been a Godsend every step of the way. My home is now complete and we're in the final process of the loan modification, so we'll be moving in very soon. I couldn't be any happier with the entire process and Rhonda is absolutely head and shoulders above any other loan officer that I have ever encountered!! I first spoke to Rhonda in July 2023, I closed on my construction loan on 10 October 2023. The builder started preparing the house to pour the foundation on 12 October and I did the final walk-through yesterday, 25 March 2024! I am so excited, and I truly am forever grateful, thankful, and blessed that Rhonda helped me throughout this journey. Thank you Rhonda!!

My wife and I were first-time homebuyers and we struggled finding a lender that really worked with us as people. We had gotten pre-approved with big box mortgage companies like Rocket, Chase, etc. but always felt a disconnect. When we found a good real estate agent to work with (Amber Renaud, we rate her 10/10 also!) she recommend we talk with Lauren Thurman at University Lending Group. This was honestly game-changing advice. Lauren and her team blew all of the other mortgage companies we dealt with out of the water. She was not only initially responsive, she quickly got us several great loan options and gave detailed walkthroughs of each option. And her estimates were more accurate because she is here in Tallahassee. When we were ready to submit our offer on our future home, she was able to give us accurate numbers on the closing costs and the mortgage itself. When our offer was accepted, Lauren and her team kept the ball rolling. She answered all of our questions (we had a lot!) and was flexible throughout the process. She also helped us understand Florida's property tax reassessment that happens the year after purchase so we wouldn't be caught off guard. When it came time for closing day, she was physically present for closing (which is not necessary for lenders) and was there to explain our first payments, homestead exemption, and congratulate on becoming homeowners. If we have mortgage needs in the future, we will be calling Lauren! 10/10!
