        Love this place. I'm not sure why people hate it. Yes it's not snapper or fresh Mahi Mahi. But it's good food and wether it's grilled or fried. It's good. I didn't know this I just found out but when this establishment opened up backnin the 80s. It served beer and burgers and fish. Then somewhere along the line they went family friendly and drop the beer. Burgers went next. And bam we have what you see today. It's been given a new look and a new staff. And it's good. Enjoy! And it's still good. Go enjoy!

        My second time eating at Captain D's and it was the perfect meal! The salmon was cooked perfectly on a bed of rice, okra and baked potato were so good! The stuffed crab looked amazing and so did the shrimp and fish my husband got. The funnel cake sticks were also delicious!

      At our Pensacola, FL location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D's Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D's Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D's was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.
