I have stayed here many times as a child/ grown up which is why I chose the flamingo for our short get away for spring break. I remembered there was a heated pool but when we arrived the first week of April we were informed they turn the heaters off the last week of March however the highs were still in the mid 60s. Too cold for swimming without heaters. The room was decorated nicely as the beach theme was refreshing. The beds were comfortable. The floors were not clean. Our feet would be black if we didnt wear shoes around the room, but maybe thats to be expected from hardwoods at the beach with bringing in sand and dirt from outside. The room has some signs of wear and tear for example: the countertop laminate was peeling up and on the back of the bathroom door the wood was peeling up. The bathtub was very dated and could see where it was painted where rust was present. The biggest issue: Our key card was shut off 30 minutes prior to check out and when I said something to the front desk attendant at check out she stated oh our system sometimes does that. I realize its only 30 minutes but we pay for that room up till check out. Had I not been in the room with our small children, my friend that was packing the car would have been locked out of the room. We witnessed 2 other people on our floor with the same issue so it wasnt just our room. Would only stay here again if I couldnt find anywhere else first Rooms: Please see review.

I have stayed at the Flamingo at least 4-5 times & loved it! But this past spring break was the worst. I will not be returning. Upon arriving I had booked a room in the tower. I had to switch rooms immediately due to the room looking nothing like the website. It was carpeted, was missing dishes, broken tile on the ground, the cabinets were peeling, the stove was so old you couldnt even see what temp it was on. Just absolutely terrible. We did get moved to another room (was better) (hard wood floors, bigger stove, cleaner, over all better) but still was annoyed to have to move after getting there. Every year we have went it has had one heated pool and one that was not. When asked by many many guests if they could turn it on the requests from the guests was consistently ignored making the pools completely unbearably cold and pretty much couldnt be swam in by the kids. Hot tub was closed half the time was the water was brown. I asked housekeeping to change my sheets while I was there (7 nights) just cause my sheets were getting sandy from the kiddos and what not. Was told NO.. and was also told NO to getting my room swept by housekeeping (again super sandy) I hate that feeling under my feet. Couldnt believe it. Also!!!! The advertised Mingos Bar on their website has never even been open and was under construction the entire time. Which is the reason they removed the grills from the premises as well. Just found that extremely annoying and like they were false advertising an amenity that was 100% closed. Absolutely will not be returning, sadly it has gone downhill!!!!!
