Don't bother calling these guys for anything less than a major renovation; if, at all. We actually needed a reliable handy man for window & door repairs as well as a few odd jobs. I also told the guy, what we needed before even scheduling an appointment with them. They made us wait two weeks, then showed up late with a major attitude. We showed them what we needed done. And the son looked at me as though I were a complete nusiance, then said: " What do you want us to do about it?"  Really? How about a quote for the repairs we need. Instead he said he literally wouldn't bother to lift a finger for less than $1200. And that was merely to repair one pane of glass in our front window.  No, thanks. Im sure theres a much better repair guy out there, who is happy to make some money without insulting clients or charging people for things they dont actually need.

Do we had a water leak coming from outside a window into our home.  The water got into the wall and floor and caused damage pretty much in the entire room.  We called a few people and no one seemed willing or had the time to come and even take a look.  I called them and Mike came and gave us a quote same day.  We were waiting on insurance to approve it and he was extremely flexible with us.  They needed up needing about three days and were prompt and professional the entire time.  They replaced the drywall and baseboards and painted.  They specialize in windows and repaired our window to ensure the leak doesn't happen again. They also replaced our kitchen sink and put up some ceiling fans while I was out of town.  Very reasonable price. I recommend them if you need any work around your house.

Wow - so where do I start. Mike and his family are thorough, skilled, mindful of your home, and obviously work with quality in mind. They were able to take a project from my concept to schematic and completion with ease.  Their pricing was fair for the quality of workmanship on this totally custom project and they made sure we were totally satisfied before accepting final payment. We couldn't be happier with our decision to use AKO Construction!!
