its a clothes store but with entry fees ($3.20) expect to see 4 old cuban 60s cars in the backyard, some photos and a singer sewing machine. its 90% clothes (for sales) like a regular store and 10% antiques. waste of time, waste of money. a typical tourist trap-scam.

Worth the time to enjoy the store and experience. Dr. V gave us magnificent presentation of the history of the owners and Cuba. The cars were fun to see as well.

Very rude owner/store manager (gentleman with the white beard). They have a no food/drink policy and instead of giving us a polite reminder or reasonable alternative, he yelled at us to "GET OUT". . The merch was probably overpriced anyway so maybe he did us a favor In reply to the response...I want to be clear that I'm not complaining about the rule, but about the customer service (well, potential customer in this case). We did not argue against the rule and were not combative whatsoever in a way that would warrant being yelled at to "GET OUT" as if we were criminals. I've been in many stores that sell fine antiques and luxury items that have that policy in place. In my experience, staff members reflect the caliber of the products sold and treat their clientele with care and manners. I recommend setting aside an area/table where customers can set their drinks or whatever is not allowed in the store. Or at the very least, be nice to them.

Its worth the $3 entry fee to see several pristine old cars and other 1950s era home items. Some interesting contemporary artwork and a few photos. This is attached to a famous shirt store that decided to expand its displays and make a few bucks. It seems to be a popular stop for walking tours that need more to do in Little Havana these days. Wish there was more written history and old photos. A good $3 attraction (but not worth more).

Nothing “Princely” about Mr Evans’ sophomoric “review” here…! If he would have just walked into the store (downstairs) first, which has been free for 52 years, maybe he wouldn’t have taken the time to spew this misleading garbage about the attraction itself somehow being a “scam”? With over a half-million dollars worth of art, 1950s (get the decade right, Prince!) automobiles, antiques, and memorabilia on display (he probably didn’t even bother to see the exhibits either), $3 is a tiny nominal fee for people to take pics, and maybe (just maybe) take the time to inquire about our culture which is celebrated with great care at this new attraction. Instead, he’s chosen to denigrate it. Pieces of actual refugee rafts and artifacts from one of the longest-held political prisoners in the world (the owner’s UNCLE!) has been downgraded to a simple “tourist trap” by the same guy who takes the time to poo-poo over a dozen businesses with his one-star and two-star reviews of amateurish drivel to show his friends how clever he is (undoubtedly the life of the party in his social circle!).A “scam” is a $40 drink on Ocean Drive, buddy, not a $3 entry fee, which we’d be glad to reimburse you if you come on back…!What WE won’t get back, however, is the three minutes it took us to respond to your bush-league write-up…We won’t get reimbursed for that.

Ms Bates, it was a pleasure hosting you all in both, our attraction AND in our store…! Dr V is a wealth of knowledge upstairs, and also makes the shopping part (for those that pass thru and ALSO want to shop) easy and fun… Thank you again for leaving such a lovely review for your fellow travelers! All the best…

Ms McGuire, you hit the nail on the head… It IS most certainly an “experience” AND a store!! The owners of this family-owned shop have been at it for over a half-century, and their collections of antiques, memorabilia, and local artwork (not to mention the four classic cars and stunning murals out back in the courtyard) are gradually becoming a destination for curious travelers like yourselves! Thanks a MILLION for telling other travelers about your experience here!

Thanks for your review. I’m sorry you bore the brunt of a staff member’s wrath (he definitely should have handled that with a bit more finesse), but it clearly states that food and drink inside of a place featuring fine linen items, fine art, antiques, and memorabilia is expressly forbidden…You’re absolutely correct in your assessment: A brusque “Get Out” is never warranted, and we will address this with all staff. That said, I’m starting to wonder if you were in the original store (downstairs), and not in our attraction (Alley, back patio, and upstairs). In any case, everything is ultimately connected here, and we’ll get to the bottom of it all. Thanks again, and best wishes.Update: The person whom you dealt with has been terminated. We sincerely hope you come back someday and allow us to make it up to you. That message is directly from the owner.

Thanks, Meryl, for your kind review… The FIRST ONE EVER!Yes, as you astutely pointed out, this new attraction is decidedly a “stop” along the way for guided tours (mostly)… This is why we only charge a nominal fee of $3 per person for walk-up traffic like yourselves. We’re growing every week, though, and adding to all of the collections on the premises on an almost-weekly basis! We’re merely in our “infancy” at this point.Once again, thanks a million!
