Hotel was not as bad as everyone makes it seem. Really nice environment, we were greeted with iguanas twice , cleaning service did a great job. AC was the perfect cold temperature. Plus we were super close to the beach. Overall I recommend
Rooms: Really nice and tidy, closets were spacious! Beds were nice and cold.
Nearby activities: Near the beach and many fancy restaurants

Read the reviews and was expecting a nightmare but when we got there the room was fairly clean and the ac was working very well. The water was also hot so no complaints there. Everything was great and the staff was very nice. Overall our room had no issues and not the nightmare that we thought we would walk in to. Just one thing one of the chairs cushion needs a replacement but other than that I dont have much complaints.
Walkability: Very walkable to the beach and other locations. Even went on a morning run around the beach.

Trust the reviews you read - rooms arent cleaned at all, the rug had so much dirt and food in it I couldnt believe it honestly. On VRBO they state theres parking not true, it also states they will hold your luggage if room isnt ready. Not true.
Hair all over bed & toilet, bugs in multiple areas (live and dead) and just an eerie feeling in the rooms. Its a motel by the beach basically.
I didnt take enough pics, honestly wanted to leave and go else where. Offered us another room but when we see house cleaning blasting music and hanging out we decided that wouldnt be a fix.

My stay at the Metropole hotel in South Beach was an absolute nightmare. Firstly, the lack of air conditioning for two whole days made the room unbearably hot and uncomfortable. To add to the horror, I was greeted by the sight of worms squirming out of the sink in my room utterly disgusting. The room itself was filthy, prompting me to spend over $300 on cleaning supplies just to make it somewhat livable. Despite requesting room service for cleaning every day of our stay, it never materialized. The cherry on top of this dreadful experience was the worn-out headboard, which left me with a sore back on what was supposed to be a special birthday celebration on 02/16. Spending my birthday in such horrendous conditions was beyond disappointing. I would strongly advise against staying at this hotel. And I do have pictures. Do not get room 202
