        I too have a problem with elistway Ace.. i tried to return an item that didnt do what I needed it for. But I had opened the pkg they refused. I left and went right back in to find cashier doing somssething with the item. I retrieved the item and walked out again. The no retturn policy is a corp policy. If you open it you got it. SHOP ELSWHERE NOT AT ACE HARDWARE. BUYER BEWARE. RESEARCH RETURN POLI CIES !!!!!!!!!!! The cashier prob was trying to put it back in stock for resale.

        Just like all the Ace stores everywhere else I've been! People are just the same as well. The keys I had made didn't fit just like everywhere else I had them made!

        Same experience as a large number of reviewers when we were accused of stealing when we walked down the UNblocked loose hardware aisle. If you and your employees cant remember to put the barrier up, you should probably try politely telling people to leave the aisle before making accusations and yelling. Ace Hardware is generally my favorite store but Ill stick with the one off University for great customer service.
