    I experienced an absolutely horrible night where I felt my life and possessions were in danger at 3AM. Staff did nothing to address my issues. I am not someone who complains, however I think future guests should be made aware. Safety: I am an older woman who was alone in my room for the evening. At 3:10 AM I was awaken from a sound sleep by someone breaking into my room. There was yelling, pounding on the door and it partially opened. I had the safety latch secured, so the man could only get his arm in the room. Scared me to death! I immediately called the front desk and was told by the night manager that they double booked my room. She apologized profusely and stated that she would refund the points I used to pay for my room. I have stayed at BW for hundreds of nights, so I believed her. I have called the night manager several times, but she has not responded. I wrote an email about my experience at the end of the standard survey that was issued, but got a boilerplate response that said nothing. I am extremely disappointed with this specific BW and their lack of integrity, follow through, and attention to customer service.

    Hotel changed hands from Best Western Southside to Quality Inn on March 14, 2024. Shower curtains dont stay shut, causing the bathroom floor to get standing water (slip hazard/lawsuit waiting to happen) Musty, wet carpet after entering the room upon check in Door security in room 205 , cross lock metal is broken. Wiggles extremely bad (not safe, if safety is a big priority in a bad area) No Alarm clock, blow dryer All water is Sulfur Mold being left in showers/ painted over Smoking on the second floor If my reservation wasnt tied to a Southwest Airlines Vacation package, I would have gotten a hotel elsewhere (solely based on the safety of the door/being alone)

    Short & Skinny: The entire desk staff had a blahza attitude and was always pissed, while I observed others. Housekeeping spoke little English, but tried very hard to satisfy, but their hands tied as well. Hotel was close to full if not full. Hotels do fill. Be prepared with food, coffee, linen all of which was not available when requested AC was terrible. Frozen hard and very humid. Imagine the nights sleep. Four coffee pots, only one filled, but ran out quickly, because the entire hotel wanted coffee. (OK, three pots, one w/hot water, BOTD). I got lucky at one point and got some coffee. A plastic Dollar General bag was under the covers when pulled back > linen not changed... WIFI access not provided at check-in, you know, like all hotels, with the room keys in the little folded card holder, we were given one key, for three adults, in my hand. (I'm serious). Inform occupants of WIFI logon at check-in, not as a spoken communication after the fact at the desk (to the correct WIFI for occupants, not BW Admin.,) as I was told. A very dated hotel. If our party needed to be in Jacksonville, Fl., longer, we'd have checked out. Check in took maybe 20 mins. Desk staff (one person) seemed extremely overwhelmed, kept leaving and coming back momentarily, only to say, I'll be right back, and leave again. The second employee (in the back never came out to help). The AC humidity, the plastic bag under the covers, the extremely dirty carpet. it was a VERY bad stay. Looking back now, and having read several of the earlier reviews, the writing style seems as if they were scripted and written by the same rep??? If this helps someone else, it was worth the time to write V.

    I stayed at this hotel on 3/9/24. The room given to us was not adequate for occupancy. Upon entering, the door seemed to be jammed within the frame, causing us to have to push the door forcefully every time used it. It was like breaking an entry just to get in. Secondly, when we used the shower, the entire bathroom flooded. What a liability safety issue. To step out of the shower and almost bust your head open. Then, to top it off, the AC didn't work. It was blowing Luke warm air at 66 degrees. We reported the issues immediately and were told by the front desk clerk,"There's nothing I can do. You have to wait to speak to the manager in the morning. " The next morning, I spoke with the manager, Donna Smith, and she said, "There's nothing I can do. You fulfilled your stay. " I paid for a product, not advertised for occupancy, placing our safety in jeopardy and didn't proper air. You would think they would be understanding, They should have refunded my money. They didn't even offer a discount. I called their corporate office, and if I don't hear back from them, I'm disputing the charge with my credit card company. Best Western sucks........... What a horrible brand and horrible management.
