Fetner & Hartigan, Periodontics and Implants

I was very impressed by the great work of Dr. Fetner and his entire staff. They took their time to explain every aspect of the procedure and answered any/all questions I had. The staff is extremely professional and genuinely care about their patients - would highly recommend!

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Fetner & his office staff. At the reccomendation of her orthodontist, my 11 year old daughter recently had a frenectomy procedure done at Dr. Fetner's office. Dr. Fetner and his assistant explained everything along the way, were campossionate, and took their time in making our daughter as comfortable as possible. The procedure went off without a hitch, with no issues at all during her brief recovery period. We went in today for a two week checkup and all was well. However, there was an issue that had developed due to an adjustment that needed to be made because of her braces. Keep in mind, my daughter's braces do not fall under the care of Dr. Fetner as she had them installed elsewhere. It seems that the metal bar along her upper, back gum line was rubbbing against the inside of her cheek, which created a small, but very painful, open wound inside her mouth. For nearly two weeks, my wife and I thought our daughter had developed a bad ulcer of some sort. Needless to say, this extremely painful sore spot in her cheek wasn't an ulcer, it wasn't a result of the frenectomey precedure, nor did it fall under the responsibility of Dr. Fetner. Dr. Fetner said "right now, the most important thing is to relieve her of the pain she's experiencing" and he proceeded to use a small amount of some sort of dental putty to cover the metal bar along the top side of gum line in the back of her mouth, thus acting as a buffer between the metal and the cheek wound. It provided much needed, instant relief from awhole lot of pain she was experiencing. My daughter was immediately smiling again, something we hadn't seen in almost 2 weeks! I'm grateful that Dr. Fetner was able to do this for her today because my daughter's normal orthodontist, who would be doing the needed adjustment to her braces, is currently closed for the rest of the week through the July 4th holidays. Thank you Dr. Fetner!

I have been coming to see Yanira H. for under a year. She and Dr. Fetner had a very serious conversation with me about my smoking habit. For years I smoked. I started coming to the Riverside office because I smoked. I had given myself gum disease and didn't even know it. My regular dentist had never even told me that. Because of Yanira and Dr. Fetner, I quit smoking. In less than a year, following their guidance and keeping my appointments with them, along with quitting, we have not only turned my oral hygiene all the way around, but my entire life is better without cigarettes. For me, it was more than taking care of my smile. They helped me become more health conscious. Part of living a healthy life is taking care of your mouth. Their help has been absolutely vital for my progress. I'm certain they have helped me add years to my life. For this, I can't thank the practice and their employees enough.
