I joined in 1973 and purchased my first car. A red VW which I loved dearly. I bought three new cars here totally. Only had one incident with a person there and it was readily resolved by the credit union manager. I was going to take all my money out and redirect it to another credit union but the matter was handled professionally and resolved. I am still a member as of this momdm3nt.

Absolutely terrible experience! Came in and definitely received discriminatory behavior from one of the tellers there. Luckily the assistant manager was kind and understanding so I will give credit to that. I came in because I had an alert from my debit card issued by a sister credit union and was informed that its up to me to seek out first federal if they were able to issue a temporary card. Rather than fully hear what I needed, the teller abruptly and rudely informed me that I should not be getting assistance from them. Theres a way to communicate that without being straight up nasty and talking to me in a patronizing and contemptuous way! Ugh I unfortunately have to go back but I would avoid that particular teller like the plague.
In response to the response: Saying the same thing to every customer that you weee not able to meet my expectations, is not enough especially when there was blatant racism involved. Its not a matter of perception and it puts the onus on me. A better response would be tailored to the experiences of each customer.

I've banked here 25 years. Staff are always friendly and attentive to your needs. I would recommend First Florida to anyone looking for a credit union.

Honestly, this was the worst company I have ever came in contact with. I highly would not recommend working here. They will fire you for no reason, the pay is not worth it for the amount of work you do, and the everyone is fake and tries to act like everything is okay but then go to hire ups and complain. Kristy is by far the worst supervisor who makes everyone uncomfortable and people quit and leave because of her and they still let her work there. It is a very passive aggressive and hostile environment. Save your time and your energy and do not work here. I would recommend banking with Navy Federal instead of First Florida.

After doing most of my primary banking with First Florida CU for the last year or so (checking, direct deposit, debit card, savings, etc.) I have decided to move my accounts to another credit union. Unfortunately I haven't had the best experience in general relating to their representatives or the use of certain checking account features. Recently I requested to open a HSA at this location and they acted like I was speaking a foreign language, recommending I go to a big corporate bank like BOA or Chase instead. I don't like the idea of banking in like, three different places... So I am going to consolidate my accounts with another local credit union that has more to offer its members.
