They have really gone down hill from the Penney's stores of old. No sales help around, the shoe department was a mess. It's all self serve but you can't find what you're looking for because the display shoes and boxes on the shelves don't match. Plus you have to be a contortionist to read the boxes on the bottom shelves. The sales racks are so jam packed you can't see the garments or find the price tag without everything falling off the rack. There's only one dirty, hot, uncomfortable dressing room open for women. I just bought my clothes, tried them on at home then had to drive back and stand in line at the return desk for things that didn't fit. The workers at the cash registers were very nice and helpful but shopping there has become an ordeal. From now on I will skip Penny's and shop exclusively at Belk's.

Went to purchase a few items today, without warning or reason they started that there was an emergency stop sale and they could not sell me the items I had picked out. No explanation they just took my items and walked away. When I asked to take a picture of the items so I may attempt to order said items the associate had to ask if that was even allowed. As if taking a picture of the items THEY put out for sale would be against the rules. Will be following up with corporate as well.
