Dealing with anything that may be a negative in your life is stressful , I must say that every person I spoke to or talked to in person was very professional and beyond helpful.

I feel that Lee County Code enforcement doesn t enforce codes on the HOA and Abscentee Developers: Calusa Ridge on Pine Island is an open development and repeatedly Lee County Code Enforcement drops the ball. They started requiring your name on complaints, you cant report violations annonomiously. They close your complaint case and dont inform you. They talk to the HOA and abscentee developer and in my complaint agreed with the HOA. Those dead trees on the vacant lots are not a violation. Those easements that arent maintained dont violate any codes. Ms Leatherman from Code Enforcement related it would be a hardship to make the lot owner cut down dead trees. It is 8 months after the hurricane and Lee county , Ms. Leatherman related she would not deal with my complaints and supported the HOA in their pursuit in maintaining the HOA. It wreaks of do as I say not as I do. so, if you actually live here you get to look at dead trees on most all vacant lots. The HOA has all the rules , codes , CCRs etc but apply the rules disparately and with bias. So all those rules, Ms. Leatherman arbitrarily ignore. The HOA complained that I complain too much. The Absentee developers are a couple of stockbrokers who were convicted of fraud by FIRC. The took 7+ million from there clients. The timing would suggest they bought the HOA / Calusa Ridge with converted funds. I hope the IRS is auditing them. Calusa Ridge on Pine Island is a good looking subdivision but dont be deceived. I was told recently that the road fund which we were told we had saved 100k is now going to cost 300k. The HOA moves monies between accounts. The HOA needs to be investigated but in Florida fraud is a civil problem not a criminal problem. Buyer Beware.

Called about a camper parked at a residential house hooked up to water, electricity and sewer house hooked up . They said it is illegal but nothing they can do unless we give our name and address. They also have shrubbery all around to hide the connections. Waste of tax payers money.
