Our yard has never looked better. They were prompt and realistic with their estimate time and were cheaper than what I was being charged for a significantly better job. They paid attention to detailing our bushes and making the yard look incredible. Thanks guys!

We hired The Grounds Guys a few months ago and their work has been shoddy at best and gotten worse. They don't have any attention to detail and cut our grass unevenly almost every time despite promising to do better. We also pay them to trim our hedges and bushes and they started out doing it and then stopped. When we have called them to ask them to please do it since we pay for it they apologize and then don't do it. They also missed a week recently and our yard is overgrown since it is the rainy season. I can't get a hold of them on the phone anymore either so not sure what to even do. AVOID. DO NOT USE. Services: Lawn care, Landscaping maintenance

Had issues with the company from the beginning, unfortunately. No attention to detail. They only do a half-hearted job in the fenced backyard (when they actually go back there, which is probably less than half the time), patches of lawn missed, trimming job is shoddy. They spend about 10 minutes at my .25 acre property and take off. They don't do much weeding, even though it's in the contracting. Also didn't prune hedges monthly as also contracted. More issues besides what's mentioned here, too.
Crew ran into my fence gate in August or September of 2021 and the hinges are pulling out of the post. Immediately let the manager/owner know, and it STILL hasn't been fixed, despite his "personal guarantee". Now, they haven't been out in 2 weeks, and there has been no response to my email inquiry (I try to get everything in writing). Paid for service the month of July, but they haven't shown up once and my lawn looks awful. It's summer in Florida... lawns grow quickly. I pay for lawn service so it doesn't get to this point. Basically, it's job abandonment and breach of contract in multiple ways.
I would not recommend GroundsGuys. Please don't waste your time.
Edit to respond to the owner's response: I checked my spam folder this morning, and had received the office manager's reply there (not from the owner in the same email thread, which is probably why it went to spam)- so that part is on me.
HOWEVER, the fact remains that my fence gate was still not fixed, and now they refuse to do anything about it. Did I wait too long to follow up again? Probably- but I should not have to follow up 3+ times on something that was their responsibility to take care of.
They also state the crew drove by but could not service my lawn on Saturday because someone else was working there. No one else was working at my house on Saturday. Additionally, the crew did not show up this week on my scheduled day (Thursday), and again- no one else was working at my house. There was no communication from the company about altered days for the holiday, and no communication that they could not service my lawn.
Additionally, I was not requesting a lower base rate. I was requesting shrub pruning to be removed from my itemized contract because I no longer have any shrubs- I had them all removed. That's not unreasonable.
Overall, I still would not recommend GroundsGuys due to poor service and poor communication- unless you plan to watch their every move to ensure everything is done exactly the way you want it, and bring things up immediately and persistently to ensure it's done right. But who wants to live like that? It's not my job to make sure they do their job. Services: Lawn care, Landscaping maintenance
