Daytona Dock & Seawall Services Inc

After working construction and owning a mechanical contracting business for 30 years, I can't believe the work being done right now at the holiday inn express in daytona. If these 5 guys were working where I live in the northeast, they would not last a day. I would can them in a second. I've been watching them for days. The lack of work is alarming. They stroll in around 8-8:30, play on their phones, drink energy drinks and puff on their vapes for at least an hour. The whole day gets really nothing accomplished. Yesterday they spent the entire day in one opening on the corrugated channel attaching a piece of rebar, a couple of 2 x 4 fillers, a couple pieces of expansion joint material. I'm dead serious, the whole day. They dropped the entire large bucket of metal framing screws down into the channel. One guy spent 4 hrs installing approx 8 2x4 concrete blowout supports, about a half hours time back home. To recap, yesterday's work with the 5 guys took over 8 hrs but would have taken 2 of my guys an hour and a half. I have videos and pictures to document the whole experience and maybe we'll start a company down here.

The reviews sounded good, Tim came out and took some measurements and talked about the process. I really liked what he was saying and left promising a quote. A week later, no quote. I email and get a note that it was busy and he'll get back. A week later, no quote. I reach out again, and no response. Maybe they are super busy, maybe affected by COVID, but I guess responding to potential customers isn't a priority. When you want to move quickly, having providers that don't get back to you (even with an update saying they weren't interested in the job) is an issue. If they aren't responsive on the quote (where most people shower you with attention), would I trust them to finish the job on time?
