VCA Baywood Animal Hospital & Pet Resort

We recently got 3 kittens and brought them to VCA Baywood. Dr. Baumgart, Stacy, front desk staff and techs have been wonderful to work with! They follow up to check on our babies and return messages very quickly. We look forward to them caring for our clan for years to come. Thank you Baywood for all you do!!!!

Dr Plavumkal was a disappointment! She just took over the clinic and was not familiar with our cats background, and was very flippant about his medical condition. She then literally argued with me about him needing alprazolam and asked me to prove to her that he is taking it and not ME! We have been treating his seizures for over 5 years and have the perfect mix and doses down pat thanks in part to the former Drs there. I was appalled! Finally she agreed to give me the same RXs weve had him on for 5 years, also diagnosing him with an upper respiratory infection for which she tried to sell me VITAMINS when he needed amoxicillin. Are you kidding me? I had to tell her to give me an rx for that med too!! To top it off, the rx for his amoxicillin was written out for a dose the pharmacy doesnt even carry! If you go, I hope you have a better experience than we did but we are finding a new vet!

I visited this VCA location today for the first time. I had extreme anxiety about coming in because it was our first vet visit since we had to put our other dog down. The team there is very kind, unwaveringly patient and so helpful. The manager, Kayla, went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. The vet we saw was Dr. Baumgart - he was very patient, thorough and as helpful as could be. A huge weight was lifted off my shoulders this visit and Ive definitely found my new vet!

We were from out of state and in need of a prescription for our dog. The staff and doctor here were so helpful and wonderful with both us and Stewie! My husband and I were very impressed with our experience. I would definitely recommend these people to take care of your precious animals.

When we relocated from NJ our staffy decided to get sick before we had time to find a vet. VCA Baywood got her in same day. We instantly fell in love! They are compassionate, caring and professional. Dr. Martin is amazing with our Tuna as is Jay, Stacy, Kayla and Liz. They are part of our family now. We can't say enough good things about this practice.
