Nice location only about two blocks from the metro station (subway). This place is pretty nice overall and the breakfast is one of the best I've had at a hotel in a very long time. REAL.eggs, tasty sausage, and high quality ingredients. Amazing topping selection for your yogurt, oatmeal or waffles. Best part was Elaine at breakfast. She was better service at the hotel breakfast than most restaurants. She promptly cleaned tables, brought bottles of water to us, etc. One of the best breakfast experiences I've ever had at a hotel and I've been a road warrior for 10 years minus covid '20/'21. We were also shocked that the hotel actually cleaned our room every day. This is practically unheard of with most hotels today. I'll definitely come back when in town.
Rooms: Clean and tidy with daily housekeeping.
Nearby activities: Museums, Washington Monument, national mall, fords theater, Lincoln Memorial.
Walkability: Near transit stations but only about a 10 min walk from the Smithsonians.
Food & drinks: Best breakfast at a hotel (quality) I've had in a long time.

For a Marriott property this was disappointing. The staff was fantastic, the breakfast was good and the rooms were clean, but not to the standard I would expect from Marriott. It's a great location - but I don't think I would stay here again

The kitchen in our room was fully stocked with all the utensils and dishes we needed and the entire room was clean and comfortable. All the staff were incredibly nice; every time we returned home a valet outside the door welcomed us back. Securer than other hotels I've been to; you need a room key to use the elevator. Great location near McPherson Square station; no transfers needed to take public transit from the airport. Arepa Zone across the street is fantastic, and there's a CVS in the same building.

This hotels lobby is really nice. You can tell they just did some renovations. The rooms, on the other hand, are very run down. The room i stayed in was a "queen," but the bed was actually a full. The sheets clearly had not been washed from the last guests they just remade the bed. There were stains on the bed, but they still had chunks of stuff within the stain, indicating it hadn't been washed. The wallpaper in the bathroom had squiggly lines as if someone took a knife and just went down the wall. The wallpaper is also bubbles clearly from water damage. The bathroom door didn't latch shut, so i child could just push the door, and it will open right up. Lastly, the floors were nice flooring, but there were so many little sink holes throughout the floor it made them look bad. It was an awkward and bad location. If i had known all of this, i would have not chose this hotel to stay in
