    Beware! Although there are ample open/empty spaces in the parking lot with no signs to indicate they require a permit, there is NO guest parking anywhere on the property and even residents have to pay additional fees to park. Cars are towed daily and the minimum cost for the tow is $350. So if you are a person with friends or the owner of a vehicle, this is not the place for you. To all people using a bicycle for your transportation: Welcome home!

    I move a lot for school and work and Montane is the worst complex Ive ever lived in. Surface level it looks very nice and new. The reality of it is the same as what everyone else on here explains. I was charged constantly for fees that made no sense including back pay for water bills for times I never lived there. They wrote my lease incorrectly 3 times in a row and falsely charged my roommate (who had moved out) thousands of dollars that they took from her auto pay account. When we fought it for months they finally returned the money but returned it to MY bank account. They are lucky she and I are friends or I could have caused a lot of issues there. They tow everyones car and have an agreement with Wyatts towing company that seems very suspect. I knew a lot of people living in that complex and not a single one of them had their car left alone. Every one of us either had our car stolen or towed. On move out I received $0 of my security deposit back for damaged carpet I had photos showing the carpet was in perfect condition and that I didnt even use the guest room for two years. Literally no one went in that room (I moved to Florida and kept this apartment for one week every other month when I would go back for work) and there was absolutely no damage. They were impossible to communicate with and once I showed them proof there was no real issue they said it was now a standard policy to charge everyone with new carpet upon move out. I cannot stress enough how terrible this complex is and how little they believe in customer service. My first year there was great but when they were bought out by a large chain corporation and switched from broadstone montane to just Montane all hell broke loose. If I could have given my experience here negative stars I would. This is just the tip of the ice burg with the issues I had but I (not exaggerating) have over 100 emails sent to them about disputes from cases I legally could not be charged for. It wasnt until lawyers were threatened to become involved that they would drop the thousands of dollars in unfounded fees. I know its a pretty complex but DO. NOT. MOVE. HERE. UPDATE: I had an 820 credit score and montane charged me with electric fees for the month of July 2023 (I moved out 3 months prior) and dropped my credit score to 740. I disputed the charge and currently am fighting to bring my credit score back up. I cannot stress enough how horrible and corrupt this complex is. Feel free to reach out messages are cute at this point as you all know VERY well I have reached out and been blown off every single time. Once again, I have a perfect housing record and had a near perfect credit score and this place is a nightmare.

    Terrible. Absolutely terrible. Initially, the apartment complex looked nice and the staff were helpful. As soon as I moved in, everything changed. Maintenance takes forever and often does not fix the issue. The staff completely ignored me until I moved out immediately following the end of my lease. When I moved out, maintenance came early and stole most of my belongings. I filed a police report but was told I needed to show intent of burglary. I was heart-broken as I lost many family photos and pricey household items. I basically had to start from scratch. The management at Montaine did nothing to help: they completely ignored me. I would avoid this place at all costs. There are plenty of other options in the area.

    First off the attorney that works with these people is actually being sued currently and have a class action lawsuit going through court right now. Just be aware. This company illegally charges tenants for fees. Very deceptive company. Make sure you ask about all the hidden fees you will get AFTER you sign your lease they do not put in the lease or state prior to move in. Be prepared to pay at minimum $300-400 extra a month on top of rent in lease. There is NO security here. No cameras. And No locks on buildings or cameras on buildings. This does make it to where packages get stolen often. When I moved they hadnt touched the apartment since the last person moved out. Doors hanging off the hinges, toilet seats falling off, animal hair everywhere, walls not painted, carpets not cleaned and stained. I took lots of videos so not many pictures, but I posted the images I did have just so you dont think this is an exaggeration. Its been 2 years and I still have yet to have all these issues fixed. I cant use my fridge water or ice to to the flakes that come from the ice and water. I had to force the maintenance to check my electrical because they told me that I was overloading my breaker box just with a Walmart vacuum and a tea pot kettle. I couldnt even watch TV and they are telling me its normal. Lights flicker due to the electrical issue. I forced them to stay and do more investigating and there was a wire that was not connected properly and causing sizzling sounds and causing a FIRE hazard. They changed the locks for my mailbox and I still dont have a key. My keys for some reason didnt fit in my mailbox anymore. So I havent had access to my mailbox for sometime. Emailed Kaitlyn about it and of course they said they would look into it and I havent heard a thing back about this issue. They close maintenance request without coming. Maintenance doesnt pay attention to the requests. They ignore things and say they dont know what to do or how to fix it. Maintenance is rude and will laugh in your face. Maintenance doesnt have a clue on what they are doing and it shows. They even say they dont know how to fix the issues. Window locks didnt work properly in my sons room so the window didnt lock. My sink fell through my counter and they didnt come fix it for a week. My blinds didnt work. They dont clean the pool regularly and I have to ask the office to clean it, even though you get charged fees for common areas and for them to keep it clean. Pool filled with algae and I see kids falling due to the horrible and hazardous resurfacing they have done. I will never recommend this place. Do yourself a favor and save yourself the head ache and move to a place that cares about you. This place doesnt care about their residents. They dont tell you about or list in the lease the fees they put on after rent. Anything BUT luxury. More issues then not and its not worth it. If I could give 0 stars I would.
