1st American Insurance Agency

This company cancelled our non profit's liability insurance for absolutely no reason. I I would give Joey Terranova himself a higher rating, but I can't recommend doing business with 1st American after this experience.

Miserable experience insuring my mountain property - had a good agent for two years, but as far as I can tell they left the firm. Was contacted by a person I never heard from before concerning renewal last fall and the communication has been bad to say the least. Emails usually contain minimal information and I have to request for attachment of full documentation around inspections and quotes; agent fails to communicate where quotes will come from after requesting them(AllState came in to my email from a random address after I requested they quote it multiple times.) Just seems lazy, will absolutely not be using this agency again and regret engaging with them for this cycle after my original agent left. Response to owner's comment: You did NOT provide strong advise against exploring other carriers. After my original agent left I was contacted out of the blue by a new agent whom I was initially quite confused given their email signature indicated a different insurance agency than 1st American. Overall communication from agent was AWFUL - questions were not responded to in a timely manner nor on the first request, the entire thing felt passive aggressive and was a complete 180 from my prior experiences. Cannot recommend this agency whatsoever; steer clear.

This agency has completely ignored our business. It has been 5 weeks since our loss. I have been forced to repair everything out of my pocket, in order for us to open. There has been no claim adjuster to come out to the property. The agent Joey has never showed up either. Austin Menzel is the adjuster from the Auto Owners, Broomfield office says, "You are not suppose to make money from this loss." Chris, his boss, told me " I can make it take a really long time, for you to get paid for your losses." I truly think these people are sadists. They like to see people suffer . We have also been lied to as to the extent of our coverage.
