This is the loudest apartment complex ive ever lived in, ive lived in two separate apartments within the complex. The heating/air unit is RIGHT by your bedrooms, so its IN YOUR EAR when youre trying to sleep. The thermostat is from the 90s so you have to tweak it at least 6 times a day. Half the year theyre doing construction on the parking lot due to poor irrigation and cheap corner-cutting design, the other half of the year theyre using leaf blowers and lawn mowers. The walls are so thin youre bound to get complaints from the other tenants for walking in your own home. The bath tubs are cheap and not set in with insulation so they make a loud annoying creaking sound with every single step, more fun for the downstairs neighbor. The only way to avoid making too much noise is by living by the highway where youll get tinnitus after a while from the road noise because the walls are paper thin. The parking lot is a nightmare of water/ice, my roommate slipped and broke his elbow very early on due to improper drainage on the sidewalk. Theres no assigned parking so if you work late youre SOL, unless you want to shill $100/mo for one of the many garages that are empty and taking up space. They refuse to mark curbs with red that are fire lanes, so if you park on the curb they will threaten you with towing or a ticket (for parking where you live) this is ridiculous because ive seen countless cars in the same parking space collecting dirt and dust, a space i could have parked in, so this is a great place to store your unwanted/broken vehicles, all you need is a parking sticker. Complex feels like a junkyard with all the broken down cars. The entrance to my current building is hardly accessible due to a grass mound that is half grass half dirt because its the only direct path to the building. Apartments do not include washer/dryer. If you want something fixed in your apartment you will likely have to call the maintenance people out a minimum of three times before the problem is truly addressed. I give them 2 stars instead of 1 because the staff here really has been nice to me and my roommate.

The Shores has been a great apartment complex to live at. The leasing and maintenance teams are great. They really care about making community improvements that benefit everyone. They are quick to respond to maintenance requests. And they host community events that help you get to know your neighbors. The location of this complex is one of the best in Longmont. Being right on Lake McIntosh you can get exercise or just sit peacefully by the lake. Since it has wildlife habitat around it yoy can see prairie dogs, bald eagles, hawks, and all kinds of water birds. We have enjoyed our apartment and the price can't be beat. Our only downside were that our apartment was right next to hwy 66, which has gotten quite busy over the years. We found a way to keep our bedroom quiet from car noise, but that was an adjustment. Some people like the hum, so that was a personal preference. Also the poo prints is a real program so remember to pick up your pups poo. We missed one once and got a fee for it. All in all it has been awesome to live here. We are moving to be closer to a new job.

I have decided to re-write my review out of respect for Kelsie. I do understand managing a big complex like this cannot be easy, and she does her best. I do enjoy living here. We're close to the awesome walking trails, we have friendly neighbors, and the complex is fairly dog friendly. The maintenance team is also FANTASTIC! I have, however, had some issues in my multiple years of living here. We've dealt with bad neighbors. Some getting their windows smashed in, having the LPD SWAT team knocking on doors for months, and finding illicit material in the common spaces. Eventually those folk moved on. There are few freedoms here, ALL policies detailed in the lease are upheld to the highest standard. Read carefully. The property is quite expensive, especially for how out-dated everything is. There is little to no parking, but there are Garages available for rent. Lots of pros and cons, but overall, I'm pleased to call this place my home.

We're pleased to hear that you enjoy our beautiful neighborhood, cool amenities, and friendly team. Our team strives to create a welcoming and accommodating environment for all of our residents. We work to keep our community beautiful and pest-and-hazard-free by limiting balcony items to plants, decor, and patio furniture, and by not allowing vehicle maintenance on our parking lot, we are able to keep noise levels down for your neighbors, keep debris out of car tires, and keep our parking lot free of potholes from oil damage. We would love the chance to accommodate any concerns you have, so please reach out if you are interested in renting a garage for additional parking, or interested in transferring to a unit away from any traffic noise - we have plenty! Thanks for being a part of our beautiful community! - The Team at The Shores at McIntosh Lake
