Worst contractor I have ever come across. I'm sorry we ever hired them and their "project manager" who turned out to be their son, surprise. They even told us we had to accept damaged materials. I could go on and on. Whatever you do don't even talk to these people. I would give them one star.

We hired Park Hill to do a large remodel (basement, master bed/bath, and hall bath). First, know that you will be working with both Gail and Deby. Deby stayed in their truck during all pre-contract meetings. Once the job began, we learned that Deby would be the primary contact, and the two are quite different. We assume that it was strategic that they didn't introduce Deby until after a contract is signed. They would come to the worksite most days but rarely checked in with us to let us know what was going on. They told us that was because homeowners been upset at them when timelines change. We assured them that we accepted things would be fluid; it didn't improve. They told us not to point out problems during the job. We didn't want to have the job finished and have to try to band-aid everything at the end. Surprise, there was a lot of band-aiding done at the end. We did not like being told what we can and cannot point out in our own remodel. Mid-job, we had billing questions, and they couldn't explain their bills, and they told us they didn't have time to talk to us about it. Eventually, we were able to agree, but it was a stressful and unnecessary confrontation that should have been handled more professionally. During a punch list walk-through, they blamed anything but themselves. They tried to blame poor tile work on our painter, on natural stone, and tried to say it due to us pointing out too many issues. It was clear that they were doing anything they could to deflect the poor workmanship. We hired a home inspector and a mason as a sanity check. The inspector gave us a list of problems and told us, "They did not do you right on that job", calling one of the items ridiculous. The mason said the tile work looked like it was done by a "neighbor who knew just enough to be dangerous." It took over a month to get our final punch list items done because of attempts to band-aid problems, short attempts to resolve an issue just enough to try to slide by. They implied it was our fault it took so long. They did the minimum to get by. Many things that we just had to accept because fixing them properly would have required major tear-out that we weren't willing to go through. We have attached pictures of some of the quality problems Interior and exterior painters said the trim quality was well below what they typically see. Finish nails protruded, large gaps in trim, gouges/chips in trim pieces, and other sloppiness resulted in additional expenses in the painting. Lots of caulk was a common theme. Park Hill had their own stone mason buff out some of the problems with the master bath floor, making a significant improvement, but overall tile work was still very poorly done. They also resolved the item that the inspector called ridiculous after a few attempts. Park Hill is a family business, and there were numerous arguments inside our house that led to uncomfortable moments for us. The worksite was not kept clean. We understand a work site will have dirt, but the site was rarely cleaned. Plastic sheeting was eventually put down on our floor was because we insisted on it, and that was after we had to clean up drywall mud off of our carpet. They stained our landscaping rock and left broken glass all over the front of the house. They audibly huffed/laughed at us when we told them that we didn't want to spend all of this money on a renovation project to have chipped, scratched, crooked tile in our new master bath. They had many snide comments during the walkthrough. Dealing with the gruff, deflecting personality was the most frustrating for us. They did not inspect the quality of work or they were simply content to allow poor quality of work. It shouldn't have been on us to find issues. They were either too busy or didn't care. We recently had a deck installed by the team over at Park Hill Construction. They were supremely timely, (finished the project in about 3 days, drilling caissons, framing and finishing) and every step of the way they pointed out items of cost savings or answered all of our questions regarding materials. (We had a lot of questions) I've already reached out to them for another project and you should too.
